Kisha Bradley, Chief Tinkerer at Bright Box Makerspace in Sheffield has joined Prosper North to help her organisation grow and secure its own building. She tells us more about their ambitions.

Tell us about Bright Box Makerspace. What do you do?
We create inclusive spaces for kids to explore the world through play and creative problem-solving including technology, engineering and arts. After all, they’re going to be the ones making inventions of the future. Ultimately, I’d say we’re an open door and here for the community.

What appeals to you about the Prosper North programme?
We’re excited for the Prosper North programme to help us focus on our next stage of growth, helping us access the support we need to provide a community resource for everyone.

How do you hope it will help with the challenges and opportunities your organisation faces?
We’ll be able to access expert advice that is normally out of our financial reach. Fingers crossed, we’ll be able to put a plan together for securing and developing a building.

What are you hoping to achieve by the end of the programme?
By the end of the programme, we hope to have formed a plan for expanding our reach, effectively communicating our impact and raising funds.
