Own Art: Impact on Artists Survey 2016

We have created a survey to assess the impact of Own Art on artists, designers and craft makers.

Since launching in April 2004, more than 40,000 people have used the Own Art scheme to finance the purchase of over £35m worth of contemporary art and craft from UK based galleries.

Impressive numbers, but what impact has the scheme had on the lives of individual artists? And has the scheme succeeded in its ambition to make buying art easier and more affordable for everyone?

To help answer these and other questions, we are running a survey over the summer looking at the impact of the Own Art scheme on artists, and the role of initiatives like this in helping to develop and grow the market for contemporary art and craft.

The survey is open to artists, designers and crafts makers working in any media and can be accessed HERE.

The survey will remain open until Friday 9 September, and the results are expected to be published in November 2016.
