Creative United has commissioned Sound Diplomacy – an international music policy consultancy and global expert in increasing the economic, social and cultural value of music in communities around the world – to develop a profile of how, where and to what extent music retailers interact with and influence their local music ecosystem.
We can see how important our Take it away music retailers are to their local communities. That’s why we want to better understand the connection, interaction and influence between music retailers with and their music ecosystem in their local area – i.e. the music venues, events, talent/professional development or showcasing opportunities, rehearsal spaces, night time economy, music hubs, communities of musicians, music learning etc.
Our research will take place across a 3 month period, with collaboration with Take it away members and the Music Industries Association.
