Creative Industry Finance

Brothers Luke and Nick Ogden founded High Six Media in 2011 whilst they were studying. Soon after graduating and gaining valuable experience within the industry, the boys combined their energy and talents into running their own company. Nick told us:

“We came to Creative Industry Finance when we were desperate to grow, but the banks were reluctant to lend to small businesses. The support we had from our Business Advisor Remi was invaluable; she gave us some great guidance and helped us deal with issues like slow paying clients. It was a proud day when we told her our business had been approved for a loan.” High Six Media

“My brother and I have been making films together since we were 11 years old. Gradually they have become more professional and we’ve managed to turn this into a career. We complement and challenge each other a fair bit with our separate creative skills, and being twins, we have a handy creative shorthand when working together making films.

“We’ve had some great highlights, working with Nike and creating music videos for our favourite bands, but honestly the best thing is being in charge of our own business after four years. There is something about setting your own agenda and goals every Monday morning that really doesn’t get old.

“Right now we’re both working hard to gain lots of experience and improve our skillset, so that we can take on bigger and better films. The dream is to collaborate on a feature film and who knows, perhaps become the next Coen Brothers…”
