Julie Caves is a painter.
She has had a studio at the Barbican Arts Group Trust studios in Walthamstow for over 10 years. She is fascinated by sunlight, her paintings are full of ambiguity to allow the viewer to find their own story in the painting, and she is interested in seeing the paint before seeing the subject matter.
Julie has exhibited her work in the US, Spain and the UK. She has an MA from Camberwell College of Art and recently completed the 2-year Studio Painting Programme at Turps Art School. She was shortlisted for the Exceptional Award 2019 and the Delphian Open 2019.
