Creative United has launched Re:Create 2021, a new business support programme delivered in partnership with Wandsworth Council and Hive Collective.
The programme will help 50 artists, makers and creative businesses in Wandsworth, through providing a programme of tailored business support including workshops, one-to-one advice and networking events.
For those operating in the creative and arts sectors, the challenges of achieving a sustainable business model can be particularly acute. In recent months, there has been the addition of the economic, social and health impacts of the Coronavirus pandemic to contend with, along with the adaptations needed for trading and performing in the EU.
Re:Create 2021 will serve to meet the needs and challenges of creative micro-enterprises, including visual artists, makers and designers in these new and challenging times. Those who join the programme will gain a better understanding of the strengths in their businesses, the chance to extend their network and create a bespoke action plan for COVID recovery and sustainable growth.
Sarah Thirtle, the Director of Business Support Programmes at Creative United, said:
‘It is clear that Wandsworth is a borough with a rich cultural offering and there is no time more crucial than now to ensure we safeguard and develop it. At Creative United, we specialise in designing business support solutions for creative, arts and heritage businesses and are excited to be working with our network of creative sector-specialist business advisors to offer this programme in partnership with Wandsworth council.’
Applications are now open until 28 February 2021.
