Carolyn Abbott is a woven textile designer using an exciting variety of colour ways and textures, creating narrow hand-woven fabrics that can be made into scarves, cushions and garments.

She produces her own range of hand made accessories, and also has fulfilled fabric sampling for other designers, most recently the Luella label, Lezley George, Elena Garcia Eco Couture, Ptolemy Mann and Academy Costume (theatrical costumiers).

Accessories have been stocked in galleries in and out of London, and she has regularly exhibited over the years as part of East London Design Show, Country Living and others.

Find her either sitting at her loom in Walthamstow, or at a small table in Bethnal Green, at Ince Umbrellas (est.1805) completing umbrella repairs and finishing.

Carolyn Abbott Textiles joins the Forge community as part of the fourth and final edition, Cohort 4.
