Meet the creative enterprises based in the City of Westminster selected for Re:Create Westminster – a business support programme, devised to help boost sustainability and growth.

Re:Create Westminster has been designed to help creative industries in the borough develop sustainable business models and skills through expert support and training. Creative United is delivering this programme with funding from Westminster Council via the UK Shared Prosperity Fund. The programme aims to provide support or creative businesses to develop and thrive.

The Re:Create scheme, which has been running in Wandsworth for the past three years, generated an estimated £165,000 in estimated additional income and created new jobs among last year’s participants. In 2024, the programme expanded into the boroughs of Richmond and Westminster supporting over 100 businesses in total.

The Westminster-based creatives and creative businesses selected for the programme, represent the incredible creative diversity the borough of Westminster has to offer. From comedians and musicians to photographers and children’s book illustrators – all have been carefully selected from a pool of applicants to join this year’s cohort.

Each participant receives three hours of individual mentoring from an expert in the creative industries. The sessions will be tailored to individual needs, with the aim of building skills and confidence and creating a sustainable business model for future growth. In addition, the cohort, and any creative business in the borough, can benefit from free access to a suite of specially designed e-learning modules until September 2025, and a range of networking opportunities

The on-demand course covers a range of essential skills from marketing and e-commerce to funding and business resilience, delivered in the form of training videos and downloadable resources.

To access the training, creatives should fill in a short eligibility form with their Westminster postcode to receive a 100% discount code.

“As with the those in the boroughs of Wandsworth and Richmond, we are delighted to be welcoming talented and innovative artists and creative enterprises from across Westminster, and its North Paddington Creative Enterprise Zone, to the Re:Create business support programme. We hope they will also make the most of the one-to-one business mentoring and networking opportunities to grow their skills, confidence, earning potential and connections.” Sarah Thirtle, Director of Strategic Development, Creative United
