Forge Fashion: Forest Recycling Project

Forest Recycling Project (FRP) is a social enterprise and charity with environmental and social aims, based in the London Borough of Waltham Forest and in operation since 1989.  FRP works and engages with organisations and communities in London through a range of practical initiatives to reduce, re-use and recycle waste, and help people live sustainably.  All work and activities are supported by volunteers.  FRP has developed a textile re-use project in recent years which is now our biggest growth area – taking donated fabrics which can be resold in our shop, or used by community projects, and thus saving lots of fabric from going to landfill/incineration, with all the negative environmental impacts that that entails, and we are very keen to develop our work with textiles and local partnerships in support of this.
