Creative United’s Take it Away team attended the Music Industry Associations (MIA) Awards 2013 which took place at the Park Plaza Riverbank Hotel last week.
The awards ceremony supports and recognises the important work of the music instrument retail sector, and is a chance to celebrate the achievements of retailers and suppliers over the last year. As in previous years, Take it away sponsored an award which is aimed at celebrating those retailers who have demonstrated that they’ve worked hard to engage with the local community through providing education services to young musicians, and have gone the extra mile in terms of providing excellent advice, guidance and all round great levels of service to their customers.
From the shortlisted nominee retailers, One Man Band just inched ahead of the competition and accepted the award on the night. Congratulations also went to Vivace Pianos and The Musicians Centre who were the other shortlisted nominees.
Proceeds from the awards ceremony all go to the music instrument retail industry charity, Music for All, who’s mission it is to give everyone the opportunity to play music regardless of age, background or ability.
