Richard is an emerging British Furniture Designer-Maker creating contemporary furniture and lighting products.
His work is influenced by the contemporary design world and has a Scandinavian identity. He focused on designing and making furniture with clean lines, a functional purpose and a playful aesthetic combing British hardwoods with British Steel.
His identity focuses on bending and shaping steel into beautiful and unique shapes. Being a process lead allows him to merge modern design with traditional materials and making practices creating work with a ground-breaking new look!
He started to be fascinated by metalwork were sparked whilst studying 3D Design at Plymouth University. Since graduating in 2013, he has worked across Art, Design and Photography Industries.
In January 2018, Richard decided to establish his own making practice working out of Blackhorse Workshop in Walthamstow. Subsequently he has gone on to exhibit at the London Design Fair, Handmade Oxford and New Designers One Year In in 2019.
