Own Art

Own Art is a consumer credit scheme providing interest free loans from £100 up to £25,000 for the purchase of contemporary art.

First launched in 2004 by Arts Council England, the scheme is designed to encourage and enable increased sales of contemporary art and craft. Delivered through a network of member galleries, Own Art provides customers with the option to spread the cost of buying art with the benefit of an interest free loan.

More than 270 galleries are now members of the scheme which has already enabled more than 35,000 customers across the UK to help finance the purchase of more than £30m worth of contemporary art and craft.

Own Art is funded by Arts Council England, Creative Scotland and Arts Council of Northern Ireland, and delivered by Creative United in partnership with our Credit Provider, Hitachi Capital Consumer Finance (“Hitachi”).
