Peter Cafferkey has worked in the philanthropic and impact investing space for over a decade and is currently Director at Geneva Global, a social business which works as both advisor and implementer to help its clients deliver social impact. Since 1999 this work has directly benefited over 60 million people and influenced a further $1.5 billion of philanthropic funding globally.
Based in London, Peter provides challenge, guidance and support to individuals, corporations and foundations looking to engage in the next generation of philanthropy, CSR and impact investing. Acting as both advisor and connector, projects delivered in 2015 have included social entrepreneurship in the Americas, impact investment in India and supporting the launch of a global wildlife foundation.
Peter has contributed to numerous articles (including being profiled in the Financial Times) and given talks in 4 continents to audiences ranging from corporate executives, next generation wealth and not for profit professionals. Most recent examples include invitations to present at the Global Governance Institute at UCL and to speak on Impact Investment at the Global Family Office Community.
Peter previously held the role of International Manager at the Charities Aid Foundation (CAF), representing the organisation on the global stage with a focus on leading and coordinating the work of their international network of offices in East Asia and Australia to achieve success in their domestic markets whilst also working directly with HNWI, companies and not for profits looking to operate in multiple jurisdictions on a global scale. Prior to this Peter spent four years in a leadership role in the CAF corporate relations team working with some of the largest UK multinationals to deliver CSR strategy and implementation both in the UK and internationally.
